Who am I

Growing up, I often felt divine experiences in the presence of those who loved me, and I loved back. In these early moments, the seeds of an eternal doctrine of love were planted and cultivated.

As I grew older, I struggled to grasp what love was. In relationships with those with whom I shared romantic love, I often felt immense pain, a contradiction that, through early adulthood, I constantly attempted to reconcile. Is this love that I'm feeling (a nod to Bob Marley), or is this affection driven by a desire to be seen and wanted? I realized over time that love was much bigger than I ever imagined. This journey led me to a revelation: love is far more expansive than I had ever imagined. It is a powerful force we often discuss but seldom delve into fully, fearing vulnerability.

This deep understanding of love informs my work as a leadership coach. I help purpose-driven individuals to reach their fullest potential. By helping leaders gain clarity and lead authentically, I cultivate environments where love and enthusiasm are at the forefront of leadership. My formal training as a professional coach through ACT's Leadership & Performance Coach Training Certification Program at Brown University's School of Professional Studies ground my practice in proven methodologies.

As the Chief Impact Officer and Co-Founder of Equity Institute, I lead strategic and operational planning to actualize our vision of equitable and sustainable education. My role at Equity Institute and my previous work testify to my commitment to shaping change.

Before this endeavor, I served as the executive director of a youth-serving nonprofit, an AmeriCorps member, a classroom teacher, and a policy fellow. My academic background includes degrees in criminal justice and political science from the University of Georgia and a graduate degree in education from Rhode Island College. I also hold a nonprofit management and leadership certificate from the Institute of Nonprofit Practice, affiliated with Tufts University.

Beyond my full-time work, I contribute as an adjunct faculty member at College Unbound, continuing my commitment to learning and development. My journey reflects a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of love and authenticity. I'm here to guide others to embrace these values as they lead with intention and purpose.
